About Carina Masser
Dr. Carina Masser, BS, MPS, DVM was born in Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from UC Davis in 2021. After graduating, she earned a master’s in professional studies – Veterinary Parasitology. The bulk of her pre-veterinary experience was with free or low-cost clinics – expanding care continues to be one of her passions.
Dr. Masser moved to Tucson in the summer of 2022, after receiving her acceptance at The University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in August of 2025. As part of UACVM’s distributive clinical year model, she has worked in urgent care/emergency, general practice, shelter medicine, exotic medicine, raptor rehabilitation, veterinary neurology, and clinical pathology.
Dr. Masser is primarily passionate about emergency medicine, with secondary interests in exotics and soft tissue surgery. Her ultimate career goal is to become an excellent emergency veterinarian. Her three cats run her household: two black kitties and one orange tabby. In her free time, Dr. Masser enjoys playing board games, pub trivia, art history, and bouldering.
