About Melissa Sheehan

Dr. Melissa Sheehan graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and completed a rotating internship at a private emergency and specialty hospital in Miami, Florida. Shortly after, she began her career in emergency medicine and quickly discovered that the fast pace and complexity of ER work suited her perfectly.

In 2009, Dr. Sheehan relocated to Tucson, where she has continued to dedicate her career to emergency medicine. She enjoys the challenge and teamwork that emergency practice brings, as well as the opportunity to help pets and their families in their most urgent moments.

Outside of work, Dr. Sheehan enjoys spending time with her family and their pets—three dogs and two cats, all rescues and former strays who are happy to have found their forever home (though not always excited to see their veterinarian every day).
